N'Nuel - Communications, Media & Diplomacy Expert


I am a creative visionary thinker, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work a lot of interest in digital advocacy, media diplomacy and communication for behavior change. I have a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Media Studies as well as awaiting graduation to complete a master’s degree in Development Communications at University of Nairobi. In addition, I have more than 4 years’ experience as a Communications for Development (C4D) expert. 

Currently, I am consulting for UN-HABITAT where I have managed to implement a COVID-19 digital- crisis communications strategy on youth inclusive engagement in responding to the pandemic. I have experience developing and implementing digital communication strategies and developing narratives that promote youth inclusivity in governance hence promoting the global effort of leaving no one behind. In advocacy and peacebuilding, I was in the frontline managing a digital team to run campaigns empowering at-risk youth in Colombia through a popular hashtag dubbed #ColombiaPeaceLabs.

I developed digital branding guidelines for Phelline Consultancy Firm Limited, designed more than 50 websites using page builders such as Elementor while at Safisha Media in respective consultant roles. At UN-Habitat, I carried out situation analyses, developed SMART goals, implemented digital media strategies and coordinated staff trainings in applying digital tools. I have been involved in designing partnership publications reports and working in digital partnership environments with World Bank, UN Women and other international and local agencies.


Recently, published over 50 stories for the United Nations on youth response to pandemics and produced monthly weekly newsletters via SendinBlue. Also led digital communications for the just ended International Youth Day, 2020 campaign on COVID-19 and Youth in Informal Settlements as well as created a global media advisory to manage youth news and media relations among youth in cities. 

My social media and copyrighting skills are evident in my contribution to other global campaigns such as the hashtag #ACTON2250 which further promotes the agenda of youth, peace and security. 

At Standard Group, I used my talents in camera and Adobe editing skills to produce quality humanitarian stories and so did I while at Nairobi City County Government.
