Christopher Kang\u2019ombe is the current Mayor of Kitwe, Zambia and advocates for increased citizen participation in African cities. He promotes combining best practices in developed countries and encouraging home grown solutions to transform African cities. He was elected as ward councillor from 2006 to 2016, and has a professional engineering background.
