Shaping Urban Futures: Youth Leadership on the Road to Urban Sustainability
For the past year UN-Habitat has championed the Road to the World Urban Forum, starting in January of 2024 with the consultations on the Summit of the Future and ending at the WUF in Cairo. At the WUF, themed “It All Starts at Home”, young people demonstrated yet again that they are at the forefront of building sustainable urban futures. Their innovative ideas and unwavering commitment to addressing environmental and social challenges are shaping cities that are inclusive, resilient, and sustainable. Through impactful local actions, youth are leading change in policies and programs, proving that transformation begins at home.
