Dr. Stefan Germann is the Chief Executive Officer of Fondation Botnar, a Swiss-based foundation that champions the use of AI and digital technology to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people in growing urban environments. To achieve this, they support research, diverse partners, and invest in emerging technologies and scalable solutions globally.
He is a global child health and wellbeing expert with over 30 years’ experience – living in 7 and working in over 80 countries with the single passion of the progressive realisation of children’s rights. He started up several social development organisations and programs in Africa and Asia (Masiye Camp, REPSSI, One Goal Asia). Dr. Stefan Germann worked for over 15 years in Africa in various health leadership roles with different agencies in the area of child health related development, relief and advocacy work. His work included managing a large rural hospital in Zimbabwe.
