Prof. Dr. Almazbek Beishenaliev

Prof. Dr. Almazbek Beishenaliev (Kyrgyzstan) is a Director of the Regional Institute of Central Asia in Bishkek. Prior to this, he was a Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport in the Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Prof. Dr. Almazbek Beishenaliev has an impressive academic record; in different periods of his career, he was a visiting Fellow at the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute at the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University and a Visiting Professor at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Education.

Prof. Dr. Almazbek Beishenaliev served as a Vice Rector for Research, Development and External Affairs at International Ala-Too University in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and, prior to this, – as a Vice Chancellor for student affairs at Vistula University in Warsaw, Poland. He is an author of more than 60 articles, books and monographs in education, history, politics and culture.

Dr. Beishenaliev holds a PhD in Education from Arabaev Kyrgyz State University and another Ph.D. in History from the same University. He also holds a Master’s degree in Education from the Ludwigsburg University of Education, Germany, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Philology from Naryn State University, Kyrgyzstan.
