20 September 2024, New York. – Last week, an inspiring exhibition on SDG Localization and Digital Solutions to Global Challenges concluded at the UN Headquarters in New York. The event was a collaborative effort between GloCha – United Citizens Organization for Action for Climate Empowerment, UN-Habitat, UNEP, and the International Youth Conference (IYC). This exhibition brought together innovative ideas and practical solutions to tackle global challenges, led by youth and supported by cutting-edge technology.

Miroslav Polzer of IAAI GloCha highlighted the significance of youth participation in geospatial mapping and SDG localization, emphasizing how their digital solutions could inspire global action. Yipan Yang from UN-Habitat underscored the importance of youth in shaping a sustainable future, with examples from youth-driven projects in Latin America and Africa. Syed M. Ali Mustafa of IYC reflected on the role of the International Youth Conference in engaging young voices with the UN system.
