Youth 2030 Cities: New UN-Habitat Project Supports Youth Localization of SDGs

Youth 2030 Cities advances the localization of the SDGs by building youth’s capacity to engage in local governance, enabling them to share knowledge, influence urban planning, and actively contribute to the creation of sustainable, youth-friendly communities.

Key Components

Research on urban youth

Youth 2030 undertakes research on how youth and local government are achieving the SDGs, at the local, nation and international level.

Localizing SDG Training

A series of on-site workshops in selected cities to build youth capacity in engaging with cities and communities for achieving the SDGs.

Promising Practies

Promising youth-led actions are being collected and profiled to attention at global events such as the World Urban Forum in Poland in June of 2022.​

Digital Tools

An impact measurement and reporting platform designed to measure the impact of youth-led action in communities and cities globally.

Youth 2030 Forums bring together youth to learn and exchange on sustainable urbanization and development of a global DeclarACTION of urban youth.
